MEET OUR BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Maggie Kathewera Banda is the founder and Executive Director of WOLREC, a women’s rights NGO in Malawi. With 24 years of experience, she has worked on gender-based violence and women’s empowerment projects. Recognized nationally, Maggie leads advocacy efforts for women’s rights, including Malawi’s Women’s Manifesto Movement.

Holding an MSc in Environmental Science, she excels in leadership, project management, and partnership building, driving gender-transformative solutions for sustainable development and social justice.

Thandizo Mphwiyo Board Member

Caroline Khumbo Mvalo, the current chairperson of the Gender Related Laws permanent committee, is a women rights activist with extensive experience in lobbying and advocacy. She has a strong track record both in the civil society and private practice. She has a great passion for promoting women, girls and the disability.
