e. The Network Coordinator who is the Secretary of the NGO-GCN
The mission of the Board of Trustees of NGO-GCN is to oversee the management, financial integrity, and adherence to the values and mission of the organization. The Board has several key responsibilities, including:
- Filling vacancies in the Board.
- Disqualifying members who conflict with the organization's values and mission.
- Participating in fundraising and advocacy efforts.
- Overseeing the organization’s management and appointing senior officers.
- Handling financial matters such as investments, borrowing, and bank accounts.
- Proposing amendments to the Constitution.
- Ensuring the organization’s assets are properly managed and used to further its objectives.
- Approving policies related to investments, accounting, and operations.
- Maintaining governance through rules and regulations for meetings and organizational affairs.
- Recommending new membership applications to the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
The Board also holds the organization's funds and property, with the Treasurer managing the finances and providing quarterly reports. The Board ensures that the organization remains aligned with its mission and that its resources are used effectively.
